The element book by Ken Robinson summary|How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything

By understanding our natural talents, we can become more creative and vital for ourselves and the world, describing creativity in a single word as "applied imagination."

By channeling the energy of your passion into your work, you can achieve anything. Work in a field where you feel passion, joy, and energy, and also where you have natural talent. Make a connection between talent and passion.

The "element" is a place where "what we love to do" and "things we are good at" come together. Often, your "element" is found when you leave your hometown area to discover the intersection of your passion and talent because your native area may not support your "element." The element is where you find yourself completely immersed in "doing," losing a sense of everything else. Your element can be found in a place where you spend or want to spend time, but you think it should happen in a particular way. You point out mistakes in the things you encounter due to your passion.

"The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything"

Instead of asking how intelligent you are, ask, "How are you intelligent?"

Do what you love! Ask your mentors to help you earn money through your passion. Find people with similar passions and work together, like a tribe. The first step in pursuing your element should be to find your tribe, like-minded people. Many people find their element when they interact with people of the same interest. You see how those people creatively turn theory into practical material. The sum is greater than the individual, and you also discover other niches of interest.

You can find your tribe where people are working to make money, like the hub for the film industry. Just as you learn cricket or any other game by playing with the best people and progressively improve to become a master, you also learn to develop self-control and precision in snooker to hit the ball at a certain speed for a measurable length.

How to become creative? Just do the things you love enjoying and seek creative techniques in those activities.

What is creativity? What you eat and what you learn, like your "mother language," all contribute to making you creative in your unique way. You learned your childhood language from parents and society but adapted your own way of saying words, a unique way. You learned handwriting from different people but now have your own unique writing style. Learning from many people and adding your own touch is called "creativity."

Many people don't try to find their element because they are unknowingly leading a less contented life. These signs may indicate when you are near your "element."

When you are worrying and brainstorming about an idea, trying to tackle a difficult task, or learning a skill with great interest. Learn a skill from an institute where you and hundreds of other learners go to master their skills. They spend money, and they are serious about their element. You can interact with them through skills sharing processes (read a summary of the book "Steal Like an Artist" to understand this concept). We all know each person has different fingerprints than others, and so is their intelligence and perception. Travel the world to see the differences in intelligence. Help other people in finding their element.

Choose a country or area where the most skilled people arise, because only they can teach you what they see and do. If you have a natural talent for something and are living in a desert, how can you reach your biggest potential?

Even blind people can pursue their passion by learning braille (language for blind people) and can study in college. For example, when Einstein felt difficulty in solving a math problem, he played the violin at different frequencies, which helped him solve problems by making new connections in his mind. An example of an artist, "Chuck Close," he became physically paralyzed and could not hold a pencil, but he continued painting and discovered a method of holding a pencil in his teeth. Another person named "Gillain" had a disease called "psychomotor agitation." He could not stay still and could not do many things, but he discovered his passion in "dance" with his natural ability for movement and met his element, the mixing of his talent and passion. Some people are good at math, and some are good at painting and drawing. For example, Zaha Hadid left Iraq and went to the USA to create some of the greatest architecture.it is said that "it takes 10000 hours or 20 years to master a skill".
